 During Lent, Christ Church, Indiana, welcomed small church friends and others to join them for a weekly Zoom-based formation program featuring videos from The Work of the People. The response was so positive that they’ve decided to provide a monthly offering throughout the year. Meetings will occur the second Monday of each month, 7:00-8:30 pm, starting September 14.
Our Christian identity often takes a back seat to our daily lives. This formation series aims to look at a range of topics about our world and then have a discussion about how our Christian identity plays a role in what we think and how we feel about what is happening in the world around us.
Each session will cover a distinct topic, so feel free to drop in as your schedule permits. There is no need to worry about catching up with what's been discussed in previous meetings.

Have you ever thought about joining the choir? We’d love to have you! Whether you have years of singing experience or simply enjoy singing praises to God, there is a place for you in our Christ Church choir.

Our choir sings once a month, offering a special opportunity to lead our congregation in worship through music. We rehearse after the 10:30 a.m. service, and rehearsal materials are also available online, making it easier to learn the music and prepare at your own pace.

Scripture reminds us again and again that singing is a beautiful way to worship:

“Sing a new song to the Lord! Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!.” — Psalm 96:1

“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives.  Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives.  Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” — Colossians 3:16

You don’t have to be a professional singer. You simply need a willingness to share your voice and help our congregation worship together.

 We are seeking contributions to “Food for Thought,” which appears each week at the end of the weekly announcements.  The entry can take any number of forms. Perhaps you could speak about  what the Christ Church community means to you, or you could share a particularly meaningful passage from a religious or literary work.  Any kind of short piece is welcome.

 We are scheduling contributions for September and October.  If you are willing to help out with this ministry, you can contact the church office or Nancy Mace (nmace4@gmail.com).
